About Us
When considering an
ideal venue for your event you need look no further
than the Foresight Centre,
business conference centre of the University of Liverpool.
We understand that creating the right
impression is important, and at the
Foresight Centre we believe that we have the right
environment to help you get your message across.
The Foresight Centre is housed within
an elegant, Grade II listed building of great
architectural and historical significance, situated
on the edge of Liverpool City Centre.
Formerly, the
Liverpool Royal Infirmary, it was designed by Liverpool-born
architect Alfred Waterhouse,
champion of high Victorian Gothic with advice from Florence
Nightingale.
After lying empty for 15 years, the University
of Liverpool purchased the site from the North West
Regional Health Authority in 1994. Since then it has been
committed to a programme to develop the site fully and restore
the buildings to their former glory.
